Italian Neoclassical Fruitwood Mirror with Floral, Butterfly and Shell Inlay

Mid 20th century Italian neoclassical style mirror with fruit wood veneer inlaid with beautifully rendered floral, shell and butterflies in rondels framing the border. Each with it's own border of gilt bronze. A larger bronze framed circle in the top center inlaid with three flowers. This is a expertly crafted mirror, with the fruit wood veneer laid down on a cherry wood base, the exquisite inlay done with various other fruit woods and dyed woods in reds, yellows, and greens. Raised carved gilt wood florets on each corner, beveled glass.                 Circa 1970's.
