19th Burmese Inlaid Mosaic Round Glass Topped Coffee Table

A very cool large scale round coffee or cocktail table, late 19th century, Burma (now Myanmar). Designed as six openwork curved panels that join to form a circle, connected by iron hinges with cotter pins, with a later glass top. Decorated with mosaic mirrors, blue and red and white glass, and intricate gilt ropework decorations, the one panel signed.  Circa 1890.

While the original use is unknown, this is a stunning and unique coffee table, a real show stopper.

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. There are various losses of mosaic and paint expected with a piece this age that only add to it's authenticity and allure. See photos.
