Provenance: for many years the ship was displayed at the now closed "Newport's Seafood Restaurant in Downtown Dallas. The following info came from their website.
"The majestic model ship mounted over the wall was discovered in an European antique shop. It originated from the Seamans Chapel in Copenhagen, which served as a church for sea goers, where they would pray for a safe journey before setting sail."
