MODEL 1868
STAMPED/MONOGRAM PAIR
An exceptionally handsome matched pair of column-form table lamps in Just Andersen's signature patinated Disko metal — his own proprietary alloy of lead, tin, and antimony that he named after Disko Bay in Greenland, where he grew up. The cylindrical shafts are encased in a densely repeating leaf-and-spine relief, evoking classical fluting reimagined through an Art Déco lens. Each column rises from a tiered circular base and narrows gracefully to a dark-patinated finial.
The lamps retain their original patina — a deep, warm olive-bronze that deepens in shadow and catches soft amber light at the relief's raised edges. Fitted with period- appropriate natural linen shades. Stamped with the Just Andersen monogram and design number 1868 on the underside.
A rare opportunity to acquire a matched pair — singularly striking as bookends on a console, library desk, or beside a bed.
