A pair of circuitously crafted gilt wrought iron stools by Rene Drouet. The mastery of the metal work on these stools must be underscored because it allows the stools to have a playful airiness to their line. The contrast of the strength of the material vs. the minimal use of it allows these to have a sketch/lyrical like quality. France.  Circa 1930.
