Rare 1895 albumen photograph by famous Marine photographer J. S. Johnston ( 1839 1899 ) of America's Cup Yacht "Defender".  This photo shows "Defender" rounding a lightship used as a racing mark in the course during the Goelet Race of August 2, 1895 with spectator fleet.
