Two groups of Reynolds Beal pencil sketches showing three views of sail boats and three views of fishing boats, including handwritten notes for future paintings, noting colors, location & dates. Beal ( 1867 - 1951 ) was a very well known American impressionist, known for his marine watercolors. He lived in Rockport, MA and sailed extensively throughout New England keeping sketchbooks to use for future paintings. These drawings were purchased from a dealer who got several sketchbooks from Beal's estate.
