18th century Spanish Baroque walnut table with drop leaves and wrought iron stretchers. Rare and unusual, possibly unique form, with straight legs and beautiful s-form stretchers to which the iron supports are attached. A nice detail is the hinges and supports are attached to the top with hand wrought iron nails that come through to the surface. Great as a breakfast table, small dining table, center or side table, or even console table. Rich and warm patina.
Circa 1725
Measures: 31” high by 40.75” wide by 45” open 24” wide with leaves down.
Top has old wear that comes with age and use, expected of a piece this age, only adding to its allure. Some minor dings and loses to the legs. One of the wooden supports that hold the leaves up is a later iron replacement.
